Frequently Asked Questions...
Q: How do I become a member of Trinity Lutheran?
A: New members are received at Trinity twice each year (usually in fall and spring). Persons interested in becoming members of Trinity Lutheran Church are invited to attend our Faith Formation classes on Lutheran theology. These classes are for members, those interested in membership and those seeking more information on Trinity’s mission and ministries. When class dates and times are determined, they are included in Trinity's monthly newsletter and bulletin announcements.
Q: Can I have my baby baptized if I am not a member?
A: Yes. We would love for your child to be baptized into the body of Christ. Please contact the church office to schedule your child's baptism and learn more about the process.
In the baptism service, parents make a covenant with their child, God, and our congregation to raise him/her in the Christian faith. Your child, when baptized at Trinity Lutheran will become a member of Trinity Lutheran. If your child is a member of our congregation, and if you promise to raise your child in the Christian faith, we invite you to consider becoming a member of Trinity Lutheran as well.
Q: Can I enroll my children in Sunday School if I am not a member?
A: Yes. We want your children to know the story of Jesus’ love. Classes are available to all children 3 years old through 5th Grade and are held from 9:30–10:20 on Sunday mornings between services. The school year is filled with engaging lessons and activities to help your child further his or her biblical knowledge. Call or email the church office with questions or to enroll your children in Sunday School.
Q: How can I get more involved in the ministry of Trinity Lutheran?
A: Contact the church office at 952-955-1891. We will want to discover your interests and passions so that you are involved with ministries that match your God-given talents.
Q: Do you have any small groups that I can join?
A: We do have small groups you can join. Please visit our SMALL GROUPS & BIBLE STUDIES page for more information on the many ways you can enhance your faith and be involved at Trinity Lutheran Church.
You can also start a new small group ministry. Small group ministry is most effective when it is driven bottom-up rather than top-down. If you have a passion or interest and would like to share it within the context of the ministry of Trinity Lutheran, we’d love to support you and connect you with others who share your interests.
