Minnesota FoodShare March Campaign
Minnesota FoodShare’s March Campaign is here! Trinity will be collecting food, supplies and dollars for the Watertown Friends for Life Food Shelf. As a community of faith, we are called to help those who are hungry and in need. The season of Lent is a great time to extend generosity to our local food shelf.
Take part in Trinity's PACK THE PEWS event this month and collect items for the food shelf.
Food/Supply Donations
Food shelves need all types of food and personal care products. Specific items of need at the Watertown Friends for Life Food Shelf include:
-
antiperspirant
-
shampoo (not conditioner)
-
feminine hygiene products
-
liquid laundry detergent
-
dish soap
-
vegetable oil
-
canned chili
-
saltine crackers
-
baked beans
-
canned chicken
-
kleenex
-
toothpaste
-
money to purchase meat, eggs, milk, cheese
Cash Donations
Easier to collect and deliver, food shelves can stretch cash donations further because of their access to discount products and programs. Cash also gives them more flexibility to acquire perishable items like fresh produce, meat and dairy products.
Trinity’s food donation locations are in the narthex, and inside the north entrance doors (main parking lot entrance). Cash donations can be placed in the offering plate during worship or taken to the church office. Please designate cash donations to the food shelf on the envelope or check.
Thank you for your generosity this month for the Minnesota FoodShare March Campaign!
