& Small Groups
The small group is a perfect way to build relationships with others within your church family, be it for spiritual growth in a bible study or for fellowship and service in one of our small groups. We invite you to find a place at Trinity where you can create meaningful connections.
Sunday Faith Formation Opportunities
Faith Formation opportunities are offered on Sundays between services throughout the year. They include large group activities and small group discussions on various faith topics. See the UPCOMING EVENTS page for upcoming opportunities.
A bible study for women that explores the scripture and various faith topics. Priscilla Circle meets on the second Monday of the month at 2:00 pm (beginning in September). Contact study leader, Eileen Nelson, 952-955-1491 for more information.
The Trinity Quilting Ministry gathers each Monday morning at 8:30 am in the Chapel. Handmade quilts are lovingly created throughout the year for many groups, including Love INC, the Friends for Life Foodshelf, various benefits and quilt auctions. Trinity’s graduating high school seniors and all who are baptized at Trinity Lutheran Church receive a quilt as a symbol of being wrapped in the warmth of God’s love. All are welcome to join this ministry on a weekly or drop in basis. Contact Gail Sommerfeld (click on name to email) or by phone at 612-518-2000 with questions or for more information about our Quilting Ministry.
OWLS (Older, Wiser Lutherans) Fellowship Group
Trinity's OWLS (Older, Wiser Lutherans) Fellowship Group meets on the third Thursday of the month for a variety of activities and events to relax, socialize and enjoy Christian fellowship with one another. We are intentionally excluding an age minimum for this group. We will leave it up to you to determine if you fall into the “older” and/or “wiser” categories and invite all to attend these Lutheran fellowship gatherings.
The Apostles are a group who are dedicated to sharing their time and talents to conquer light maintenance projects inside and outside the church building and the parsonage. A warm welcome is extended to anyone interested in lending a hand. There is always plenty to do! The Apostles meet at 8:00 am on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of the month in the Fellowship Hall.
Trinity's Heavenly Housekeepers meet every fourth Thursday of the month at 9:00 am to complete light housekeeping duties around the church to keep it looking great. All are welcome to come and help out.
Trinity Book Club
The Trinity Book Club gathers to discuss books – both fiction and nonfiction – that are chosen from suggestions by members. New readers are always welcome; one does not need to be a member at Trinity to join the group. All are invited to join us for fellowship and engaging conversation. Want to be in the Book Club? Email Diane Johnson (click on name to email) to receive email notifications.
Do you craft? Do you knit, crochet, scrapbook, embroider, bead, draw (or any other craft)? Join a group of Trinity crafters in the Conference Room every 4th Tuesday of the month from 5:30 – 7:30 pm for an evening of dedicated time on your project(s) and a chance to hang out with other creative people. Children are welcome as well.
