Annual Congregational Meeting
Thank you to those who attended Trinity's Annual Congregational Meeting on January 28. Together, we celebrated where God led us in 2023 and we made plans for the year ahead. We approved the Spending Plan for 2024 and new members were elected to the Church Council and other church committees. We also approved to bring Trinity's Constitution into conformity with the Model Constitution for Congregations of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.

Constitutional Updates
Every three years, at the ELCA Churchwide Assembly, amendments are made and approved to the Model Constitution for Congregations of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. It is recommended that ELCA congregations review the adopted amendments as soon as possible after each churchwide assembly to incorporate the required changes and to consider the recommended changes. Trinity Lutheran Church updated our constitution last in 2018, which means that the 2019 and 2022 amendments have not yet been incorporated into our constitution.
Below is a link to Trinity’s constitution and bylaws document with the amendments to the Model Constitution for Congregations that were approved by the 2019 and 2022 Churchwide Assemblies. Additions are highlighted and underlined; deletions are struck through. Many of these amendments can be seen as “housekeeping” amendments which provide for use of more inclusive language, clarity and consistency throughout the document.
